Flat water, white water, rolling… my paddling career has been launched. Well, I say career – it’s a start! We had two solid days out this week with the head of the paddling department, Pete Catterall.

Monday – flat water intro on the Brenin pond unleashing some kayaking skills and subsequent open boating on the Llyn Mymbyr complete with introduction of party tricks (gunnelling etc.)

Tuesday – a mountain day out for the CAs on Crib Lem spur taking in the usual suspects of Carnedd Dafydd and Pen yr Ole Wen en route – nav practice, group management etc.
