Snowdon and the Llyn Mymbyr - seen from Plas y Brenin

So, it’s been quiet on here for a good week or so over the move from Felinheli. I’m now settled in at Plas y Brenin and all is going swimmingly!

This first week has been packed with getting to know the other Centre Assistants (CAs), staff, vehicles, night shift duties, fire/alarm systems etc. but we’ve also had two days out at Tremadog climbing – one with the British Mountain Guide trainees and Steve LongΒ at Bwlch y Moch, the other with the Team (CAs) at Pant Ifan (upper tier).

My first day off was today (Saturday). This morning I did some tidying up/admin-y things for myself around the centre and then disappeared off for a bike ride to stretch the legs. Starting out easy I did a lap of the Glyders with 27 miles and 915m climb in 2 hours 15… could improve… (see here for the MapMyRide route description just added)

Tonight, it’s night porter duties 5.15pm through 8.30am… ZZZZZzzzz πŸ™‚ jk, should be good fun!
