Llanberis Snowsports “Superdome”


For those interested in skiing or redevelopment of Llanberis Slate Quarries…
(and for those who don’t know, Llanberis is very near Snowdon)

“A planning application has been submitted for a Β£45m tourism and leisure development near Narberth, Pembrokeshire. Called Bluestone it will feature the longest real-snow indoor slope in the country. Snowdonia Gateway, the most talked about slope in the UK, was to feature a Ski-Trac – a never ending slope – but plans have been tamed and the proposal is for a more conventional indoor slope winding around the contours of three quarries. There is no news on when the centre will open.”

Originally they were going to use a Ski-Trac rotating slope but apparently it’s too extravagent (more like expensive)!
