UMWC Tryfan 2006

29Jan06

An interesting day full of extremes of cold and sun. I joined the ‘hard’ group this week for a scramble up the East Ridge of Tryfan, and it’s fair to say we tried our best given the conditions (snow/ice) and the accidental misreading of a guidebook which left us having to downscramble a grade 3 marked route *cough*.

Beautiful weather all day meant a lot of nice photos, even some of me…

  1. “accidental misreading of a guidebook” – 7 years of Scouts, Gold D of E, mountain leadership training, A-Level Geography… and you still can’t read a map?!

  2. Um, well these guidebooks aren’t to be trusted you know πŸ˜‰ We were only two gulleys out!
