UMWC A Day On Snowdon

02Oct05

Today’s walk, well, part scramble up all 1085 metres of Snowdon was well worth it, even if we didn’t get to see much from the top (what’s new)! Although the weather was pleasant with occasional sunny intervals, the summit was as usual in the cloud layer hovering around 1084 metres just to be plain awkward. Needless to say being walking purists we didnt hover around the ugly monstrosety at the top for long, but instead had a cup of tea etc. at Pen-y-Pass after scowling at the train passengers on the summit (easily spotted by trainers and a general lack of warm clothes). Photos can be found here and whilst I was at it, all the Freshers Week photos can be spotted here

looks like a good day’s outing. Pity about the clouds. Also lovely photos of and from your room and kitchen. keep the news reel going.

  2. Nice room – I suppose it almost makes up for not being in a Castle…
